CME Group Inc. Sues CFTC to Stop Enforcement of Swaps Reporting Rules

CME Group Inc. sued the Commodity Futures Trading Commission Nov. 8 in the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia in a bid to set aside and prevent the agency from enforcing swaps reporting rules set to go into effect Nov. 13 (CME Group Inc. v CFTC).

The move marks the third time the CFTC has been sued regarding its rulemaking under the 2010 Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act.
