Chemicals Maker Faces Securities Suit Over Finland Plant Fire

Chemical products maker Venator Materials PLC misled investors about the extent of damage caused by a fire at its manufacturing plant, according to a new federal securities class action.

Venator, then the pigments and additives division of Huntsman Corp., operated a titanium dioxide manufacturing plant in Pori, Finland. Titanium dioxide is a white pigment used in paper, printing inks, fibers, food, and numerous other products.
