Chelsea Group Accused of Looting Symbion Power’s Assets

The Cyprus-based Chelsea Group has been hit with a lawsuit accusing the global investment conglomerate and its chairman, Lord Richard Westbury, of gutting Symbion Power Holdings Ltd. and transferring its assets offshore.

Westbury, Symbion CEO Paul Hinks, and the other leaders of the two companies used fraud and threats to get the consent of two Symbion equity holders for the move, according to the June 7 complaint filed in Delaware Chancery Court.
