Boaz Weinstein Sued by Charles Johnson Over Templeton Fund (1)

Mutual fund billionaire Charles B. Johnson sued Boaz Weinstein and Saba Capital Management over control of the Templeton Global Income Fund.

Johnson, the former chairman and chief executive officer of Franklin Resources Inc., which manages Franklin and Templeton funds, said in a suit filed Monday in Manhattan federal court that Saba and its founder, Weinstein, made a secret deal with a major shareholder to influence a June 6 vote that elected four Saba-backed trustees to the global income fund’s board.
