A retired New Jersey federal judge helping to oversee the CFTC’s fraud case against the operator of online trading platform “My Forex Funds” has ordered a hearing over the platform’s request for sanctions against the agency.
Traders Global Group Inc., which runs “My Forex Funds,” is asking that the Commodity Futures Trading Commission be sanctioned after allegedly lying to a judge to get an order freezing the platform’s assets.
Traders Global has drawn comparisons to a case in Utah, where the Securities and Exchange Commission was recently sanctioned for what the judge characterized as false statements and misrepresentations. Bloomberg News ...
