Boston Scientific Faces Investor Suit Over Banned Mesh

Boston Scientific Corp. told investors its transvaginal mesh products were safe when they weren’t, which ultimately led to a ban on U.S. sales, an April 24 suit said.

The manufacturing firm repeatedly “downplayed the dangers” of the surgical mesh to investors, the complaint filed in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York said. Boston Scientific also kept to itself its use of “implants containing counterfeit or adulterated resin products imported from China,” the suit said.
