Booz Allen Beats Stock Fraud Claims Over 2008 Carlyle Group Sale

Booz Allen Hamilton Inc. won’t have to face the remaining claims in a 10-year-old dispute over the 2008 sale of its government division to The Carlyle Group, a federal judge said June 12.

Paul Kocourek, a former Booz Allen executive, added securities fraud allegations to the long-running suit after federal courts rejected his employee stock plan claims. But his allegations that statements from the company and its management were misleading weren’t sufficient to keep the fraud claims in court, the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York said.
