Bank of America Merrill Lynch and JPMorgan were the top corporate and financial bond underwriters in 2016, Bloomberg data show.
Bank of America underwrote 860 corporate bond deals, representing approximately 6.6 percent of overall market share.
JPMorgan held the top spot in 2015 for corporate bond underwriting, but fell to second in 2016 with 825 deals.
Citi filled the number three top spot with 804 deals. It was the only one of the top three deal-makers whose market share rose compared to 2015.
