BlackRock Office Said to Be Raided in German Cum-Ex Probe (2)

BlackRock Inc. became the latest financial institution pulled into a German investigation of controversial tax trades, with its Munich offices being raided by prosecutors, a person familiar with the situation said.

Investigators searched the financial firm’s unit Nov. 6, according to the person, who declined to be identified as the information is confidential. Bild Zeitung reported earlier that Cologne prosecutors raided BlackRock’s offices in Munich as part of their probe.

BlackRock is fully cooperating with an investigation relating to cum-ex transactions in the period from 2007 through 2011, the company said in an emailed statement.
