Bitcoin exchange-traded fund advocates were among the first people to snag a meeting with SEC Commissioner Elad Roisman after he took office this fall.
The Republican, who joined the Securities and Exchange Commission Sept. 11, met officials from financial technology company SolidX Partners Inc., asset manager Van Eck Associates Corp., and Cboe Global Markets Inc. about a bitcoin exchange-traded fund on Oct. 9, according to a memo about the gathering.
