Bessent Names Frank Bisignano CEO of IRS
Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent named Frank Bisignano, commissioner of the Social Security Administration, to fill the newly formed position of CEO of the IRS, Erin Slowey reports.
Bisignano will report directly to Bessent, who is also the acting IRS commissioner. The new IRS CEO will manage the organization and oversee all day-to-day IRS operations while also continuing to serve in his role as commissioner of the SSA.
