Bayer Investors Survive Dismissal Bid in Roundup Deal Risk Suit

Bayer AG investors failed to show the company misrepresented science-based defenses available in a trial over Roundup’s safety, but they can still move forward using a different theory of liability, a federal judge in California said.

Investors already convinced a US District Court for the Northern District of California judge to allow them to move forward with some allegations stemming from Bayer’s acquisition of Monsanto Co.

They failed to patch up shortcomings in another area with an amended complaint, but the pharmaceutical and life sciences firm still has to face the remaining part of the suit.
