Barclays Ex-CEO Staley’s Epstein Ties Draw Investor Lawsuit (1)

Barclays Plc allegedly misled investors about former CEO Jes Staley’s ties with Jeffrey Epstein, prompting a series of stock drops as details were revealed about their relationship, a shareholder class action says.

Staley is named as a defendant alongside current CEO C.S. Venkatakrishnan, as well as group finance directors Anna Cross and Tushar Morzaria, who all allegedly misrepresented Epstein’s link to Barclays, according to the complaint filed Wednesday in US District Court for the Central District of California.
