Balyasny Hires Goldman Partner Lederhandler for New Top Role

Balyasny Asset Management hired Goldman Sachs Group Inc. partner Risa Lederhandler for a newly created senior regional post, bolstering its leadership team outside the US.

Lederhandler will join as chief operating officer for Europe, the Middle East and Africa, according to a person with knowledge of the matter. The London-based executive will start later this year, reporting to global COO Kevin Byrne and joining the hedge fund’s management committee, the person said, asking not to be identified because the details are private.
