Apple Investor Sues Cook, Others, Over Siri AI Upgrade Delay (1)

Top Apple Inc. executives including CEO Tim Cook and members of its board overstated the iPhone maker’s timeline to implement artificial intelligence enhancements to its Siri voice assistant, leading to a series of stock declines, a shareholder lawsuit said.

Shareholder Steven Hill’s derivative complaint was filed in the US District Court for the Northern District of California Thursday, echoing another investor’s proposed class action filed last week.

In addition to Cook, Hill’s lawsuit names as defendants senior Vice President and chief financial officer Kevan Parekh, corporate services VP Luca Maestri, and seven of its directors. It also ...
