Allergan Sued Over Expired Breast Implant Safety Certification

Allergan misled investors about the fact that its EU safety certification or “CE mark” for breast implant technology was expiring, according to a new lawsuit.

Plaintiff Thomas Cook asked the court to certify his case as a class action.

The company misled investors during various earning calls in the past two years by boasting about its progress in securing pharmaceutical and device approvals, while concealing the fact that its mark for textured breast implants and tissue expanders was lapsing, Cook claims.
