Alleged Ponzi Scheme Employee Must Pay Receiver, Court Says

A Utah man and his company must return payments made to them with funds from an alleged Ponzi scheme after a federal judge in the state granted summary judgment to the court-appointed receiver.

David Hill and Desert Hill Ventures Inc. are liable for $347,000 in payments from the alleged scheme and nearly $114,000 more that Roger S. Bliss, the man behind the purported Ponzi, paid to contractors for disability-related remodeling on Hill’s home, the U.S. District Court for the District of Utah said.
