Adient Beats Investor Bid to Revive Suit Over Division Spin Off

Adient PLC fought off an attempt by investors to revive a lawsuit that alleged the automotive seat maker misled them about a division that was later spun off.

The investors’ didn’t show how Adient’s purported misstatements about improvements in its metals division were false, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit said Wednesday.

Allegations that Adient failed to disclose certain challenges confronting the division, including staffing issues, were also properly dismissed, the court said.
