AdaptHealth Corp. will pay $51 million to end a shareholder lawsuit alleging the home medical equipment company inflated growth metrics and failed to tell investors about its former CEO’s role in a tax scheme.
The deal also includes 1 million common shares of AdaptHealth, valued at over $9.8 million, and requires that the company put in place a series of corporate governance changes.
Judge Harvey Bartle in the US District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania gave the deal final approval Wednesday.
AdaptHealth didn’t immediately respond to a request for comment.
