Worker Lawsuit Filed as Safety Agency Probes Houston Explosion

The family of a worker killed in an explosion in Houston last week has filed a lawsuit against the company, seeking monetary damages, a restraining order to prevent the potential destruction of evidence, and a request to inspect the premises.

Federal accident investigators with the U.S. Chemical Safety Board are looking into the explosion that killed two workers, destroyed a Houston manufacturing facility, and damaged hundreds of surrounding homes Jan. 24.
