Aug. 4, 2022, 6:17 PM

M&H Crates Inc., a Texas-based wood crate and pallet manufacturer, faces $248,866 in proposed penalties for allegedly exposing workers to amputation hazards, according to the DOL Thursday.

The Occupational Safety and Health Administration cited the company for serious and repeat violations involving machine guarding hazards, housekeeping issues, and not providing required hearing protection, the department said.

The company has 15 business days from receipt of its citations and penalties to comply, request an informal conference with OSHA’s area director, or contest the findings.
