Wisconsin Waste Management Company Cited for 13 OSHA Violations

A Wisconsin waste management company has been cited for 13 violations of federal safety standards after a worker was injured while servicing a vehicle, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration announced Thursday.

John’s Disposal Service and John’s Recycling reported a workplace injury after a temporary maintenance worker was pulled by their sleeve into a vehicle’s engine in January. The company was cited for two serious violations for failing to ensure energy control procedures were in place before the worker began servicing the vehicle.
