Wind Turbine Parts Manufacturer Fined for Alleged Safety Hazards

Proinlosa Energy Corp. has been issued $293,982 in proposed penalties and cited for one serious alleged violation for not having energy control procedures in place at its Houston facility, the Labor Department said Thursday.

The Occupational Safety and Health Administration allegedly found machine guarding violations that were originally identified during an April 7, 2022 inspection, according to the department.

The wind turbine parts manufacturer allegedly required workers to perform maintenance on machines and equipment without having an energy control program in place, employee training, and periodic inspections, DOL said.
