VA Hospital Didn’t Protect Workers From Covid-19, OSHA Says (1)

A U.S. Veterans Affairs hospital in Indianapolis failed to protect workers in several departments from the coronavirus during the first weeks of the pandemic, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration said.

Federal workplace safety inspectors found multiple alleged hazards during inspections of the Richard L. Roudebush VA Medical Center, including not providing appropriate respirators to workers conducting sonograms on patients confirmed to have Covid-19, the disease caused by the novel coronavirus, according to documents Bloomberg Law obtained Monday.
