UPS Accused of Repeatedly Blocking Exits at Ohio Facility

United Parcel Service Inc. was accused of repeatedly obstructing exit routes at its Sharonville, Ohio, distribution center by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration.

The company faces $208,603 in proposed penalties for the citations issued Dec.17.

OSHA inspectors allege UPS failed to maintain exit routes at multiple locations at the facility. The report states management allowed packages to accumulate in aisles and some access routes were reduced to just seven inches.
