More than 2,700 United Airlines catering workers will have an opportunity to decide whether to unionize next month.
The National Mediation Board, a federal board that governs labor-management relations for the country’s roughly 100 airlines and 500 railroads, announced the union election would begin Sept. 18, according to a letter from the board. Votes will be tallied Oct. 23.
