Trader Joe’s Co. faces more than $216,000 in penalties after an inspection found health and safety violations at a Greenwood Village, Colo., company facility, according to the Labor Department Wednesday.
The grocer was cited for a lack of adequate safety training for forklift operators and failing to inspect forklifts, as well as repeatedly blocking electrical equipment with boxes, according to DOL’s Occupational Safety and Health Administration.
Monrovia, Calif.-based Trader Joe’s had been cited for violating these same standards during prior OSHA inspections across several US states.
