Tenet Hospitals Withdraws Lawsuit Against OSHA Virus Inspection

Tenet Hospitals Ltd. voluntarily withdrew its federal court challenge to OSHA’s enforcement of its Covid-19 requirements.

Tenet, part of Dallas-based Tenet Healthcare Corp., had been scheduled Monday to present its arguments for a preliminary injunction against the Occupational Safety and Health Administration at a hearing in the U.S. District Court for the District of Western Texas. U.S. District Judge Kathleen Cardone had previously denied the company’s request for a temporary restraining order.

“The parties have reached an amicable resolution,” Tenet lawyers said in single-paragraph filing requesting the dismissal May 5. Cardone granted the request the next day.
