Telecom Tower Dangers Focus of Worker Safety Agency Proposal

Crews laboring on telecommunications towers would have to analyze the daily dangers they face, then come up with ways to prevent accidents, according to a federal proposal aimed at protecting tower workers.

The proposed telecommunications tower safety rule is the focus of three days of hearings starting Aug. 28, during which the Occupational Safety and Health Administration will hear the opinions of small business owners who employ tower workers.
