Schlumberger Settles with DOL, OSHA Over Records Lawsuit

A Texas oilfield services company has settled the lawsuit it filed against the U.S. Labor Department and OSHA, accusing the agencies of withholding worker interview recordings and documents from a Galveston, Texas, workplace accident investigation.

Schlumberger Technology Corp., based in Sugarland, Texas, sued the agencies in September in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Texas, seeking records for use in its defense of a workplace accident suit pending in a Galveston state court.
