Republican Lawmakers Press OSHA Chief for Covid Rule Withdrawal

At a House hearing on OSHA’s past and present policies, Republican lawmakers focused their interrogations on long-delayed Covid-19 rulemaking, as Democrats raised the specter of a possible government shutdown.

GOP members of the House Subcommittee on Workforce Protections pressed for answers Wednesday about the Occupational Safety and Health Administration’s Covid regulations as well as the question of who can accompany OSHA staff on workplace inspections.
