OSHA Sues Bronze Art Foundry, Alleges Employee Fired for Reporting Lead Concerns

TAMPA, Fla.—The Department of Labor announced July 18 the filing of a whistleblower lawsuit against a fine art bronze foundry in Florida for allegedly terminating an employee who raised concerns about potential lead overexposure (Solis v. American Bronze Foundry Inc.).

Named as defendants in a civil lawsuit, filed in U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida, were American Bronze Foundry Inc., located in Sanford, Fla., as well as co-owners Charles and Renee Wambold and manager Jennifer Schiffermiller, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration said in a written statement.
