OSHA Agrees to Release Employers’ Injury, Illness Reports

The injury and illness reports of about 237,000 workplaces could become public under a federal lawsuit settlement between OSHA and a worker advocacy group, the Public Citizen Foundation.

Under the settlement reached Monday in the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration has until Aug. 18 to release all the work-site injury and illness reports that employers submitted on Form 300A for 2016 cases.
