Oregon Suspends Covid-19 Worker Protection Rule as Threat Eases

Oregon OSHA is no longer enforcing its worker safety Covid-19 rules effective Monday, and is starting the repeal process.

The change comes on the same day that the Oregon Health Authority, a separate agency, announced it will no longer require health-care workers and visitors to hospitals and clinics to wear masks.

In a written statement, the Oregon Occupational Safety and Health Administration cited continued low Covid hospitalization rates as a reason for ending the state rule.
