JMJ Construction LLC faces citations and $105,800 in proposed penalties for allegedly exposing workers to fall hazards while doing roofing work on a commercial building as a subcontractor, Oregon OSHA said Monday.
The company allegedly allowed three employees at a Hillsboro, Ore., jobsite to work at heights without fall protection, risking an 18-foot fall, according to the agency.
The company has been cited four times since February 2020 for violating a rule that requires employers to implement fall protection systems at jobsites when employees are exposed to a hazard of falling 6 feet or more to a lower level.
