New York Clinic Settles Covid Whistleblower Case for $195,000

A Staten Island, N.Y., medical clinic will pay $195,000 to settle an OSHA whistleblower lawsuit filed on behalf of an executive secretary who was fired after raising concerns about an in-person board meeting during the early weeks of the Covid-19 pandemic in March 2020.

Community Medical Center of Richmond Inc. agreed to the back wages and compensatory damages payment in a settlement announced Friday by the US Occupational Safety and Health Administration.
