The death of a worker who was crushed by a falling concrete wall on a New York construction project has led to federal criminal charges against a contractor and company principal.
Finbar O’Neill, of Paramus, N.J., who controlled the operations of Hackensack, N.J.-based OneKey LLC, and the company itself were arraigned Wednesday in the US District Court for the Southern District of New York, according to the US attorney’s office for that district.
Both were charged with a willful violation of an Occupational Safety and Health Administration rule, resulting in the August 2017 death of the worker.
