Missouri Contractor Once Again Faces Citations for Fall Hazards

A Missouri roofing contractor has been hit with proposed penalties of more than $267,000 for exposing workers to fall hazards, the Labor Department announced Friday.

US Occupational Safety and Health Administration inspectors found that H R Vasquez Construction LLC failed to equip employees with fall protection at heights greater than six feet, allowed the improper use of ladders, and did not implement an accident prevention program.

It has been cited with nine repeat, three serious, and one other-than-serious violations, OSHA said.

The company has been cited seven times since 2021, the agency said.
