Massachusetts Roofing Firm Owner Faces Jail, $200,000 Penalty

The Labor Department is seeking a contempt order against a Massachusetts roofing company and its owner for failing to comply with a settlement agreement over 32 federal safety citations.

If the agency is successful, The Roof Kings LLC and its owner, Craig Galligan may also face a $200,000 overdue penalty and possible jail time.

The DOL filed the petition in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the First Circuit, arguing that the company failed to fulfill the terms of an order issued by the First Circuit in 2018.
