A Petco Animal Supplies Stores Inc. location in North Andover, Mass., has been issued $129,473 in proposed penalties and citations alleging two repeat and two serious violations, the Labor Department said Friday.
The DOL alleged the store didn’t have a sufficient vermin control program and routinely exposed employees to live and dead rodents as well as their droppings and urine, an Occupational Health and Safety Administration inspection found.
