Marshall Ingredients Factory Hit With $300K in Worker Safety Fines

A Marshall Ingredients LLC food factory in upstate New York factory faces more than $300,000 in proposed penalties after a worker had his hand amputated in machinery.

The Occupational Safety and Health Administration launched an inspection at the company’s Wolcott, N.Y., factory last July after a temporary employee had his hand amputated. The factory makes dried fruit powder and other food ingredients.
