Labor Inspector General Investigates Whistleblowers’ Office

Federal investigators’ alleged mishandling of whistleblower complaints from Wells Fargo & Co. workers and others is at the center of a newly opened federal inquiry.

The Department of Labor’s Office of Inspector General said in an Aug. 7 letter to the Occupational Safety and Health Administration that its investigation will focus on OSHA’s whistleblower protection office, which oversees complaints from workers in OSHA Region 9 covering California, Arizona, and Nevada.
