HHS Proposes to Add Certain Cancers For Coverage Under WTC Health Program

Scores of new types of cancers would be added to the list of conditions covered by the World Trade Center Health Program under a proposed rule published June 13 in the Federal Register (77 Fed. Reg. 35,574) by the Health and Human Services Department.

The proposal would endorse all the cancers recommended for inclusion in March by the WTC Program’s scientific/technical advisory committee (50 GERR 452, 4/10/12), according to the proposal.
