New federal guidance on when fully vaccinated people don’t need to wear a mask outdoors gives construction workers and their employers more options at job sites, but doesn’t necessarily end the need for masks and caution, construction safety experts say.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s April 27 guidance said a fully vaccinated person—defined as someone who had their final required shot at least two weeks earlier—could “participate in outdoor activities and recreation without a mask, except in certain crowded settings and venues.”
