Forever 21 Cited Again for Blocked Exits,
Stacked Boxes; Fine of $165,000 Proposed

Federal safety officials May 12 announced proposed fines of $165,000 against clothing store Forever 21 Retail Inc. after finding that emergency exits and hallways were blocked by unstable stacks of boxes at its location in Westfarms Mall in Farmington, Conn.

The Occupational Safety and Health Administration said in a statement May 12 it has cited Forever 21 previously 12 times for similar hazards, including at stores in New York City, New Jersey and Massachusetts 44 OSHR 693, 7/24/14.
