A Florida contractor has been cited for the second time in five years for exposing workers to fall risks, the Labor Department announced Friday.
An Occupational Safety and Health Administration inspection found that at a residential job site, Carpenter Contractors of America willfully exposed employees to a 32-foot fall hazard as they did not require fall protection equipment for employees securing trusses and roof facia.
OSHA is proposing $161,323 in penalties. The company has 15 business days from receipt of its citations and penalties to comply, request an informal conference with OSHA, or contest the findings
