A Senate committee approval Dec. 3 of the nomination of two women to the Occupational Safety and Health Review Commission could end a monthslong loss of quorum at the independent agency.
The Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor and Pensions unanimously approved the nominations of Amanda Wood Laihow and reinstatement of Cynthia L. Attwood to the three-member OSHRC, which has lacked a quorum since the end of April. The nominees now head to the full Senate for confirmation.
