Dollar Tree Stores Inc., the parent company of Family Dollar, has been cited with four repeat violations and proposed penalties of $364,645 for allegedly exposing workers to hazards at a Richmond Hill, Ga., location, according to the Department of Labor Friday.
The company allegedly exposed workers to fire, entrapment, and struck-by hazards in addition to failing to properly secure compressed gas cylinders, the agency said.
The company has 15 business days from receipt of its citations and penalties to comply, request an informal conference with OSHA, or contest the findings.
