A New Jersey manufacturer didn’t willfully violate federal standards protecting workers’ hearing, the panel that hears appeals of OSHA citations unanimously ruled.
The Occupational Safety and Health Review Commission found in an Aug. 26 decision that while Home Rubber Co. LP of Trenton, N.J., violated Occupational Safety and Health Administration rules to prevent hearing loss during a May 2016 inspection, the violations were “serious,” not “willful.”
