A whistle-blower lawsuit filed by OSHA alleging a communications cable installation company fired a worker who complained to the agency, reached a settlement according to a consent judgment filed Dec. 16 (Sec’y. of Labor v. Eustis Cable Enter., S.D. Tex., 16-1639, 12/16/16).
Eustis Cable Enterprises LTD of Brookfield, Vt., agreed to pay the dismissed worker $15,000 for back wages and compensatory damages, the judgment said.
